Home Networking That Works

The equipment from Internet Service Providers is limited in its ability to be configured. Many settings are disabled or cannot be changed.  Consumer, off-the-shelf products (think of a router you can buy in BestBuy)  are considerably more configurable, but even they have limitations and most home users do not understand 90% of the configurations that can be changed on them. There is a step above those off-the-shelf solutions, before you get into the class of solutions that businesses buy, of which many consumers are unaware.

The good news is that in most situations, you don't have to use the equipment that came from hou provider. However, if you choose to keep the equipment that came from your provider, or if you choose an off-the-the-shelf product, or something from the class above, we can bring the experience and expertise to make your home network more reliable and secure, and maybe faster.

WiFi

We can design, deploy, and improve any scenario from routers with built-in WiFi to Mesh systems and repeaters to dedicated wireless controllers with separate wire access points. Although mesh systems and repeaters are very popular, they are not the only, or even the best, way to cover large areas or fill gaps. From WiFi assessments to determine areas of limited coverage, to securing WiFi with authentication or captured portals to deploying the latest technology in wireless controller and wireless access points, we can help you meet your needs.

Wired

For those times when Wireless is just not going to work or is not acceptable, may we present the age-old solution of ....... cables? Cables are more secure and significantly faster than wireless. Most homes need a cabled solution anyway, at least to connect the router to the Internet. However, we can expand upon that by introducing wired routers, switches, firewalls and other wired devices. We can integrate this all into a wireless network as well. Whether it is fiber optic cable or ethernet, we can design a solution that will work for you. Depending upon your location, we can even do the installation and configuration- yes, even running cables through the attic and down walls and putting outlets and jacks into walls.
