These are just a few examples of how we've helped homeowners who were not happy with their camera and monitoring systems transform their user experience without starting from scratch.

Dalhua Cameras with Scrypted in a Docker Container on Synology

We worked with a customer who designs user interfaces for a living. They had recently purchased a home that already had Dalhua cameras installed and they were not happy with the standard Dalhua interface. We worked with the customer to find a fit, and settled on Scrypted as the interface. We then implemented a Synology NAS for video storage and installed Docker on the NAS in order to run containers. We installed the Scrypted container, registered all the cameras, set them to record to local storage on the Synology and backup copies of video to Dropbox. With the Synology connected to UPS and redundant internet links and the backup to Dropbox, the end result is a rock solid solution that provides the experience the customer was looking for. 

Reolink Cameras with Blue Iris on Windows

We received a call from a customer in the Newcastle area who had already done quite a bit of the investigation but was a bit stuck on how to proceed. Ultimately, we installed several Reolink cameras and set up a desktop computer to run BlueIris software. We registered all the cameras to BlueIris. We worked with the customer to pick a reasonably lean computer. We executed the minimal Windows 11 installation required for the BlueIris software and to run Windows Defender for AV and Firewall. We disabled all non-required services and locked the computer down pretty tight. That PC now sits in a makeshift wiring closet next to the internet router, plugged into a UPS and set to run specific scripts in case of an unexpected shutdown. Very stable, secure and reliable Blue Iris implementation on a Windows PC of minimal spec providing the interface they wanted. 

LTS Cameras with Lorex NVR

We worked with a customer in Norman who had recently purchased a home. The previous owner had left the existing LTS cameras registered to a Lorex NVR connected to a monitor in a closet. Some of the cameras were not working with the NVR and the customer asked us to take a look. We proceeded to work through the Lorex NVR and modified a lot of the settings and then began to re-register the non-working cameras with the NVR. After the first two cameras, we showed this customer the interface and we began discussing how they wanted to actually use the cameras, define some of the use cases. It very quickly became apparent that the Lorex solutions was not the right one for them. After some discussion, we actually come to the agreement that moving them to the LTS application was the right move for them. So contrary to the work we completed in the other two cases listed here, we actually went about de-registering all the cameras from the lorex, resetting them all to factory default settings, signing up for an LTS monitoring account and re-registered all the cameras to the LTS application.
